Mild and sunny with average highs in the low 70s. It’s the perfect season for beach walks, al fresco dining, and escaping colder corners of the country.
Spring (Mar–May)
Warm, breezy, and beautiful - springtime highs range from the mid-70s to mid-80s. Expect blue skies, ideal beach temps, and some of the best sunsets you’ll ever see.
Summer (Jun–Aug)
This is classic Florida summer: hot, sunny mornings (mid-80s to low 90s), followed by quick afternoon showers that cool things off. Great for water lovers - think paddleboarding, boating, and long days in the surf.
Fall (Sep–Nov)
Still warm and beach-worthy, with temps in the 80s and fewer crowds. It’s a hidden gem of a season for visitors who want space to stretch out in the sand.

Yes! It’s a relaxed, family-friendly beach town with a strong local community. Like anywhere, we recommend taking standard precautions—lock your doors, don’t leave valuables in the car, and be mindful of beach and water safety signs. Local law enforcement and lifeguards are present in key areas, especially around Siesta Beach.

From June 1 to November 30, with peak activity typically occurring between mid-August and mid-October. While hurricanes can pose risks, they are relatively infrequent, and many visitors enjoy Siesta Key without incident.
